ProShopping Promotion — Application & Privacy Information
ProShopping Promotion
ProShopping Promotion is an internal tool operated for ProShopping Australia. It prepares and distributes reviewed product media on the merchant’s own social accounts and measures aggregate promotional results. It is not a public sign-in or account-management service for shoppers.

Application privacy information
Effective date: 23 October 2026.
Access and purpose
For the merchant-authorised YouTube channel, the application requests permission to upload videos, read channel information and read YouTube Analytics reports. This access is used to publish reviewed promotional videos, verify the destination channel and retrieve aggregate performance measurements. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or payment information.
Facebook and Instagram connections support the merchant’s own content publication and performance reading. The international TikTok account is connected through Buffer. China Douyin is excluded from the configured workflow. Only the merchant’s identified accounts are accepted by the local application.
Storage and sharing
OAuth credentials and the dedicated Buffer API key are stored in a private file on the merchant-operated local computer with access restricted to its operating-system account. Credentials are used with the relevant provider to authenticate API requests. The operator remains responsible for protecting this computer and its backups.
Reviewed media and captions are sent to the selected social platform, and to Buffer when that service is used for TikTok. Publishing and storing public social posts are governed by those services. Aggregate measurements may be used by the merchant’s promotion workflow to compare completed reporting periods and plan subsequent content. The application does not sell Google user data and does not use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Control and retention
The merchant controls which accounts are authorised and which reviewed media may be submitted. Access may be revoked through the provider’s account settings. Revoking provider access and removing local credentials are separate actions. The operator can remove local credentials when disconnecting a service. Local campaign records and publication receipts are retained for operational reconciliation until the merchant chooses to remove them.
ProShopping Promotion’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
